My very talented friend, Brandon Williams, created a line of modern fireplaces a couple years ago called ModFire. His fireplaces have been wildly successful. I was lucky enough to have my house used for one of his product line photo shoots. Here are some images from that shoot (Matt and I were stand-in models…he he he):
Brandon is an airstream lover and you can see by these photos why it was a natural choice for him to create a portable ModFire for Airstreams and other adventurers!
Well, Brandon has done it again! He has been thinking about a new product that is portable enough to be used by airstreamers. The Firestream is a polished alumimum ModFire that weighs a mere 20 lbs; a perfect towable weight. The price for this wonderful piece is in the $1950 range. This product is just being released and this is a first look at it!
Be the first to see it at the Pre-fab showcase and modern living expo in Palm Springs this Saturday and Sunday, February 23rd-24th from 10:00am-5:00pm at:

I know what is on my birthday list….. 😉
Hi, I’m looking to buy an Airstream one year older than yours for my husband and myself to take on the road, and I am inspired by the makeover you guys did – great job! I was wondering what kind of difference pulling it makes in your gas mileage (I know these are very heavy campers), and if there was anything you would do differently in the redesign you did. We are working on a smallish budget too, and I will be doing the painting/sewing myself, as well as any flooring or anything that is within my ability. Thanks very much for any info.
